Getting Started with 4G Wireless Internet

Getting Started with 4G Wireless InternetWhen you move into a new home there are lots of things to consider. Firstly, there’s the fun things like furniture, deciding what interior colors you want and picking a new TV. Then comes the more fiddly, but very important service for every modern home, the internet.

The first thing you need to do is make a decision about what kind of internet you need in terms of capability. These days most people will make the decision to use a wireless internet connection. It is far more convenient than dial up and means multiple people can be connected at one time. What you need to think about now, instead of whether to go wireless or not, is how you will connect. Most of the big internet providers such as Clear Internet, will give you a variety of options. For example you could use a USB modem which you literally just plug into your laptop and start using straight away. Another popular option is a home modem which provides internet access really quickly in both homes or offices. Clear actually offers another method known as the Clear Spot, which allows you to create your own wi-fi hotspot.

What you need to find out is what network you will be getting. These days you should really be aiming for 4G, the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. You might remember when there was 3G before that and then 2G before that. As a network it provides a really secure and comprehensive mobile broadband solution which can be used by laptop computer wireless modems and smartphones.

What 4G offers you is the ultimate internet experience really. This is internet of the future. You can have access to the internet at whatever speed you want and download all the data you could want. It doesn’t have speed caps and you can download files of any size. This is internet freedom at its best – you will love the difference it makes to whatever you are doing online. If you are considering using a 4G network it is worth doing a bit of research to find out where it is available. Not all cities have it just yet but in those that don’t you’ll have 3G coverage. So don’t panic, everyone can get on a network and have great internet access.
